Networking Events: Share Contact Info with an Apple Wallet Pass

Conference Wi-Fi is bad. Name badges flip around. Paper cards go to hotel trash. The people who network well in 2026 reduce steps between “nice to meet you” and “you’re in my LinkedIn.”
Direct answer: before the event, install an Aplcard LinkedIn (or custom) pass, pin it in Wallet, and practice opening it in under two seconds. Use NFC cards only if you already bought them—Wallet+QR is enough for most attendees.
Pre-event checklist
Create or refresh your pass at /create/linkedin. Confirm the QR opens your public profile on cellular. Add a payment pass only if you sell on-site. Screenshot a backup QR in Photos in case Wallet glitches.
Charge your phone. Put Wallet in Control Center or practice side-button double-click if you use that gesture.
In the room
Offer the pass when the other person reaches for their phone—not mid-sentence. Hold steady for Camera. If they are on Android, your QR still works; they just will not “add your pass” the same way.
Avoid forcing an app install. If they ask for email only, say it—do not make Wallet a religion.
After the event
Follow up within 24 hours referencing the conversation. Your pass got you the connection; the message gets you the meeting.
If your title changed after the conference, generate a fresh pass and replace the old one—simple regeneration beats waiting on a CRM sync if you only needed identity.
